    187flatliner - Excellent seller!

In a fit of impulse shopping I jumped on a set of JDM front corners for the ST16* because I've been wanting those for forever. :D 187flatliner was very easy to work with, made every assurance I knew what I was purchasing and even gave advice on how best to remove the paint that was applied to...

    Steering rack bushings?

I could have sworn I saw poly steering rack bushings for our cars a while back, possibly on 935motorsports. But looking everywhere I can think of I don't see them anywhere. Do these exist at all? I found Prothane used to make some for the AW11 but I'm not finding anything for Celicas. :(

165 harness, 185 ECU - a little help translating pins?

Soo... In an attempt to get my 165 up and running I came across a 185 ECU and have been working on an adapter harness so it'll plug in. I've got most of the pins matched up except a few I'm sketchy on and want to make sure they go someplace (or no place at all) before putting electrons through...

    Arrrgh!

Not long after I hooked up my MBC and fooled around, something changed to where I could not boost past 10PSI. Occasionally at high RPM in 3rd or 4th I could get it to reach 12 or 13, but it would fall straight back to 9-10 within a second or two. Turns out, unless my ears deceive me, that I...

    Project Stormbringer

...well, a year plus a day to be technical. But that's how long it's been since I brought home my favourite car in the world and achieved an old dream of mine; A 1988 ST165. Canadian market, so everything was metric. 107,000 miles and a healthy stack of service records came with her. She...

    Exhaust indentification help?

Since I've started working on the clutch myself (The guy I had arrangements with has been flaking out), I got to thinking about exactly what exhaust system is on my 165. Overall it looks nice; full 3", with a properly sized flex section, and a resonator. The welds are all very clean and tidy...

    Shortbus - Great seller

I bought a Clutchmasters FX300 kit off of him this week. Transaction went through with no problems and when the box arrived there were no surprises; it was exactly as he described and well packed to boot! Thanks! :)

    Flywheel bolt question

I haven't been able to get a complete answer to this in my searching, so I'll just up and ask. :) Are the flywheel bolt size and thread pitch the same on a 165 as they are on the 185? I know their pattern is a bit different but I want to know if 185 bolts will thread into a 165 crank without...

Never rains, but it pours. :( Clutch issue now. - UPDATE!

So, yeah... This morning after work I went hunting around for a set of tires since the 'trac is going to need something not half-bald as winter is approaching. On my way to one of the places on my list, she suddenly was no longer able to shift. Couldn't get her into any gear at all, even with...

    Bugger! Surprise coolant leak

So today I got woken up by one of the roommates about a puddle of coolant underneath one of my cars. At first glance it was obvious it came from the Alltrac. The problem is...I can't really tell where it came from. The entire underside of the engine and chassis was wet. Upper and lower...

    Wheel rubbing woes

This has been bugging me for a while and I'm not entirely sure how to attack it. Ever since I got my 165, it's had a problem of the wheels rubbing against the body on any hard cornering and occasionally when hitting a bump fast enough - though I do try and avoid that part. She's running on '00...

    Unintentional photo

Was taking some pictures of the Alltrac's exhaust the other day, and my Supra decided it wanted a cameo :)

So my new 'trac had a dead dash bulb...

...while waiting on my camber bolts to arrive, I decided to remedy that problem: On my next order I'll be getting matching LEDs for the hazard/defrost switches and the window buttons. And maybe some other places if I remember. :)

    165 alignment enquiry

So, I brought the 'Trac in to have an alignement service done, as it's got some serious camber issues. According to the shop, they need to install camber bolts up front so it can be corrected. They want an additional $141 on top of the alignment service to do so. Both for being flat broke and...

Okay, time for me to stop lurking

Earlier this morning I got back from an adventure that netted me my first Celica Alltrac. :) I bought it off of 3tcpower out in Salt Lake City, from his for sale thread: http://alltrac.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=21760 Previous to him it belonged to nynoah75 in Denver...
