Does anyone have access to the GT4RC supplement guide? I keep getting code 54 Intercooler pump circuit. the pump seems to be functioning and I would like to know the proper diagnostic procedure for this issue.

I do,

Need to wait a couple hours, ill take some photos - my GF just got a new phone with a 3mp camera. so that should be decent enough.

Ill post them then.

But here's the jist:

2. Inspect Operation of Intercooler Water Pump

a) Turn the ignition switch ON and engine running
b) Open the throttle valve, and check that the water pump rotates
c) When the throttle pump is closed, check that the water pump stops after ~30 sec.

INSPECTION OF COMPONENTS:

2. Inspect Intercooler Water Pump

a) Connect the battery and ammeter to the water pump connector
b) Check that th water pump rotates smoothly, and check the reading on the ammeter.

Standard amperage: 1.5 - 2.1 A

I'll post images when i can.

In the manual, Code 54 reads as:

Diagnosis:
Intercooler Motor Stop.

Trouble Area:
-Intercooler level switch
-intercooler ecu
-intercooler motor
-intercooler circuit

So the code may mean any one of those things is to blame, not just the pump.

But since you said the pump seems to be working correctly, maybe a fuse or connector is to blame?

Thanks alot Corey! big help. Could I convince you to scan the whole supplement guide? That would be a sweet addition to the alltrac/gt4 community, as I cant find anyone else that has one.

btw, somebody can help to get rid off code 54, after fitting fmic in st185cs?

Try pulling off the IC-ecu. It is located behind the radio.

I keep getting code 54 Intercooler pump circuit.

On the fire wall there is a relay for the IC-circuit. Open it and clean it.

Do you have a GT4RC complete ECU pin out as well?

Yes, I think so - it doesn't specify whether its for the ATA or WTA. But comparing the WTA ecu tests i posted above to the diagram i have, it looks to be the same.

I'll post a photo later when my gf comes home with the camera

I disconnect IC ecu, IC relay and bridge ic coolant sensor, no effect, code 54 still come. :(
Any toughts?

But do you have a legend for what the letters mean? And or wire color's

Disconnect the IC ecu(all connectors). Open the relay and clean the connections with sandpaper, then close and refit.

Did you reset the ecu(wires off the battery)?

Yes I do, but I need to find that electrical wiring book first.

It's the wiring for a CS, so you will have to do some checking.

I'll post it up as soon as I find it.

Brilliant! Thanks man!

I found out last night that RC's have totally differnt wiring then USDM for things related to my alarm and remote start. The tach wire is in a totally differnt location behind the cluster, and only id say 30% of the wire colors were the same.... brutal!
