That's about what mine looked like so I rotated it 180 degrees to the unworn side. I regret not just buying a new one at the time because it was kind of a pain to get to at the time.

Good thing you found that. Before I installed the e154f trans I looked at the cube and it's like new but some kind of plastic instead.. I'd try to get the newer plastic ones if possible.

If the first side lasted you that long though you should be good for a while.

That's true. I'm sure the cube had just as many miles as my car does! So I have another 200,000 miles before I need to replace it lol

OK so this is the correct part number it seems. I don't know if they are interchangeable with the other one I posted.

90389-10009

I'm wondering if I could make one out of Delrin or something.
Very nice!
After looking at the parts diagram I saw the one for the "Shift lever and retainer"full diagram and I was wondering if you can help me find out the part numbers for the parts marked 33548F and 33556F
I'm no good at reading the diagrams for part numbers. These are the bushings I've been asking about :D

I received my brass bushings and installed them. Still notchy going into 2nd most of the time. Not always but most of the time.
Next to replace will be the bushing seat the shifter handle sits on. If that doesn't work then I'll look into a replacement shortshifter. If that doesn't work either then I'm switching to honda  yeah right :p

Do not order a Cosmo Short shifter haha it says if fits bit it definitely does not. I had to do a lot of modifications with spacers and washers to make it fit. Not worth the pain in the ass IMO.

It's 33556-20040
And its it's discontinued everywhere :shoots:

Can we just install a shifter assembly from a newer celica like a 7th gen and it'll work properly? We should still be able to get those bushings and short shifters for 7th gen right?
