Thanks for posting these. So the cable end was pulled out after a few strands broke huh. I was talking with a couple of my welder friends about tig welding the ends and one recommend brazing with copper rods and flux to keep the cables in before they break.
Does that sound like a bad idea?
The transmission end of the cables are magnetic so not aluminum. Not sure yet on the ends that broke on you.

No problem. It kept getting harder and harder to get the car into 2nd so one day I forced it into second and that was the last straw lol I dont know if welding it would be a bad idea or not. I know there is a set of ST185 cables used on EBAY right now for just over $200 if you do end up needing a set.

I hope I don't need them. I'm waiting for my bushings to arrive so I can try that then I'll know.

I got curious about this bushing and checked for some part numbers.

I forgot to inspect mine today cause I was too busy wrapping my exhaust downpipe to try and get some control over how hot my engine bay is.

GT4-Play actually has a replacement sugar cube if that's all you're looking for.

That's about what mine looked like so I rotated it 180 degrees to the unworn side. I regret not just buying a new one at the time because it was kind of a pain to get to at the time.

Good thing you found that. Before I installed the e154f trans I looked at the cube and it's like new but some kind of plastic instead.. I'd try to get the newer plastic ones if possible.

If the first side lasted you that long though you should be good for a while.

That's true. I'm sure the cube had just as many miles as my car does! So I have another 200,000 miles before I need to replace it lol
