I actually thought it would go higher. One of 5000 (or 1800 I suppose depending on how you look at it) with low-ish mileage seems pretty rare!
Shoot E30s are fetching $16.5 with automatic transmissions at that mileage and I'm pretty sure there were over a million of them sold.

Crazy, can't believe it went so cheap.

That does sound cheap, even with the flaws.
That's better for me though, the cheaper these stay the easier it is for me to justify keeping mine and enjoying it. If they ever got really pricey I'd feel compelled to clean it up a bit more and sell it.
