Installing egt gauge

where is the best spot to install the egt gauge on the exhaust? is it better to have it as close to where it comes off the motor or is around the downpipe ? Ive picked up a set of electronic blitz gauges and will be installing them soon....

In the exhaust manifold, a couple inches from the head, #3 runner. This is where the engine runs the leanest with the stock intake manifold.

ok thx for the info....right now im getting a pillar gauge holder made in fiberglass....whenever thats done the gauges will be installed ...ill post some pics when its all done
