AM1 Fuse

Hi, my AM1 fuse keeps blowing and it only happens at night... one night i went though 4 fuses in an hour. does anyone know what the problem could be?

Are you talking about the 40amp AM1 fusible link in the fusebox next to the battery? There's a lot of stuff that branches off of that circuit so it may take a while to isolate the problem unless you can think of a more precise thing that you did or that happened just before it blew. For example, did you use your rear window defroster, was your AC running, did your headlights dim slightly before the fuse blew, etc.

I had a nightmare of a time with this same problem when I was younger in a 90 gt. Turns out one of my 3rd brake light bulbs had cracked and was grounding out. Happens at night? You only use your lights at night. Might want to start there.
