St 185, dash cluster has a whine to it, any clues??

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. sounds like its coming right from under the gauges. does it when the cars not moving so it isnt the speedo cable. perhaps a possesed relay, haha any help would ease the nerves. . . . Thanx

Have you punched the dash already? Often provides a quick fix.

but are you sure its the dash and not the tweeter? does it come with rpms?

i have actually smacked it a little. no change. the tweater isnt hooked up any more. Anything else???

My st165 does this too... I think mine is the speedo cable?

Mine does it sometimes since I went with an aftermarket head unit. One person suggested it's the ground. Mine does it in unison with rpm.

+1 on the st165 doing it too. Might be thinking speedo now because it goes along with the speed of the car.

Turn off your radio. Mine quit doing it when I disconnected mine.
