the problem is still there. the car is very slow at the top end. see my trap speeds? it seems it is falling on its face in the higher revs in 3rd+ gears. this could be because of the stock head and intake though. i will get on a dyno soon and fine tune it a little bit more. these passes were made on conservative timing and rich fuel maps with octane booster. it was all street tuned with a wideband so far.

Nice runs!
Are you running on 17" rims and street tires? It looked like you were getting a lot of wheelspin.
A popular choice for more traction among the DSM and Evo guys are 15" Motegi Traklites or Rota Slipstreams with some 24.5" slicks or drag radials. Should get rid of that wheelspin for you.
Looking forward to your next vids!

they are 17x8 wheels with 235/40/17. this isnt a drag race only car so the suspension and tires will not be for drag race only. this is gonna be a street car that is fast.
since this video i have put on coilovers w/ koni yellows, bfg kdw2, and will soon be adding some top end power. my afr from 4500 to redline was 10.5 and lower. 9.5 at redline. im working on leaning it out right now. i have it done all the way up to 14.5psi running 11.5 afr the whole way. ill be hitting the track again this summer and maybe a dyno tune too!

the hydra has a tuneable 2 step launch control system, i have mine hooked to the clutch switch on the floor, i have the rev limit set around 5000. it builds about 10 psi standing still and you can side step the clutch. its kinda cheating for a awd car but it works extremely well once its set right.
