Wheel fitment for widebody

I have a set of SSR wheels 17x8.5 ET 49 and was wondering if a set of 25mm rear spacers with 235/40/17 tires would do the trick without rubbing! I have checked on many threads and cant seem to find any exemples of high offsets on 8.5 inches wheels.

Thanks in advance!

Measure from your tire to the fender lip. If the gap is more than 25mm, there you go.

With an offset that high, you'll most likely need at least a 25mm spacer just to clear the suspension (if it's stock) and/or the brake calipers.

That's a good point, my 17x8 et45 wheels had the tires fouling the rear struts and rubbing the frame rails up front.
