i was wondering what kind of paint everyone is using to paint their rc bumpers, because i have heard that some paints will tend to flake off within a matter of days, weeks, or months. so what is the best type of paint to use. the rc bumper is kinda like plastic material.

I dont have a huge amount of experience with this, but what I do know is that its all in the prep work and actually spray work that matter as to how long the paint will last. I dont know what type of paint or if there are that many types of paint used for auto applications, but I could have sworn that most bumper covers are made of the same type of plastic. I cant imagine a good paint shop wouldnt be able to set you straight on this (in other words stay away from macco)

you have to make sure that it is a paint that has some 'flex' additive in it. I.e. it allows the paint to flex/bend without cracking. any good body/paint shop should know what to use.

my dad's a pretty good autobody specialist so he's gonna be doing it if i can convince him. all i need to do is buy the paint.
