I got mine done a few years ago. The factory red had detriorated to factory pink :x . Anyway, I knew the guy and got a good deal - basically, it was wet sanded for free. It's a red metallic, but the metallic is so fine you can only see it up close, not like a bass fishing boat. It turned out very nice. 8)
Usually post-production paint chips more often because they don't bake the paint at the same temp to cure it. It hurts the rubber and other non-steel bits (correct me if I'm wrong here, I just heard this). Anyway, I have a few chips in this paint, where the factory paint did not chip. :shrug:
