I have heard we loose speakers when switching to any other head unit. Is there a way to get them back?>

I read that as long as you use the stock external amp you keep the door speakers.

Are you still looking for a System 10 Deck? I know I have one somewhere
I'll try to look though my huge box of misc stuff that I got from the previous owner of my car.
Its all yours if you need it still and I can find the thing. I have no real need for the thing being as my car audio has been completely redone.

Actually decided to get a single-din unit off ebay... thanks though!

Looks like their might be a harness option for the tc radio to add an amp. Maybe something like this can be combined with the tc radio to add our stock amp and keep all the speakers. I wonder if there is a cheaper DIY approach. http://www.yoursciontc.com/forums/124-a ... rness.html

Any pics of the scion radio installed? I want to see if it looks stock enough for me.

It was a little more than what I wanted to pay, but this radio is awesome and would plug right in with no modification as it has the same 15-pin connector as our stock radioshttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyota-4 ... ioQ5fVideo
Note the Aux input that will work as an mp3 adapter. I really wanted this but wanted to save money so I went with a stock single-DIN out of a 6th gen that also plugged right in and works great!

That tocoma radio looks promising. I am sort of interested in the scion one though just because of the charging capabilities of the ipod hook up, but this might be good enough for me and I can just run a power adapter.
