Hold it until you decide what intake route and battery location you will go with.

That depends on how far do you want to go and what condition of the engine is in. Have you ever done a compression test? IMO, if you are not planning anything outrageous and you want to keep stock ECU and fuel components, stock internals (if they are in good shape) would be fine. Try to keep boost below 14 psi and have a good intercooler.

so sticking with the top mount should be ok? is it possible to mount a fan to the intercooler? does it help out?

IMO...the fan doesn't do much....upgrading to a front mount intercooler (FMIC) however will! Be prepared to spend about $500-800 though.

I would also add to the list in the early stages of modding, to toss the stock clutch and go with an aftermarket one eg. spec, act, clutchmasters, exedy etc.

Considering that the cost of a good clutch is in the 400 range (CM stage 3), and takes a good few days to do the work (or hundreds of dollars for labor if you don't), I really think this is something you want to do when you need a new clutch.

i'd love to start all over again:

for me #1 suspension: once up to speed, enjoy the most out of the cornering ability of a heavy stock car 8)
