'89 corolla all trac sedan

Postby Bosozoku » Thu Mar 17, 2005 12:25 am

Hi, I just bought a 1989 corolla all trac sedan.
I was wondering if anyone has used this chassis?
I'm planning on taking the 4AFE out, and putting a 3SGTE in it. Anyone done this?
Is the Transmission the same as the celica all tracs?

I think its a cool idea for a total sleeper. Ask this question on http://www.tunerdreams.com/

Its a small group but they are very helpfull and I know one of them knows what it would take for your conversion.

-Cheers and welcome.

Maybe check on celicatech.com as well, since they have done lots of 3S-GTE swaps into FWD celicas. I'm not sure if the 4AFE was ever an engine choice on a celica?

Welcome and that's pretty neat -- I don't know any corolla alltrac owners...

You might want to check out what AW11 (MR2) owners have done-- we call them "MK1.5" MR2s-- 1st gen MR2s with 3SGTE swapped in them. There's a sizable number of those swaps done. Well, I realize the swaps don't involve making a 2WD -> AWD, but it's a place worth looking:

You guys do realize a corolla alltrac is awd?

Thats a cool car though, i was considering getting a camry alltrac for a winter beater.
The corolla only came in manual tranny right?
Ill look at the epc tomarrow at work, and i can ask some other alltrac people i'm sure it has been done.. But i dont really know yet.
