Alltrac wins street mod at SCCA DC Pro Solo...

Postby gtfour77 » Mon Jun 23, 2008 2:16 pm

Just wanted to share an alltrac victory with this community... the alltrac is progressing nicely and has proven itself at this weekend's Washington DC Pro Solo. Still tons of tuning to be done before it's really fast but thought this is a good start.

Videos here:
http://www.swvrscca.org/vb/showthread.php?t=1288

Results here:
http://www.scca.com/documents/resultfil ... ional1.pdf

Build process here:
http://www.alltrac.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=25070

This is not a spectacular victory by any means but thought it was a good start for such an oddball car in Street Mod...

Also, it is time to seriously look at front diff options, any and all suggestions are welcome... the stock open diff just won't cut it for serious national competition....

Congrats!

i think as far as the front diff etantshi mentioned something about some people in Japan using a MR2 LSD up front.
i honestly don't know what the real WRC ST185's used .. more than likley something custom made by TRD.

4,500 can buy you a clutch front diff the TTA uses.

I would really look into the st205 gearboxes on yahoo japan that claim they made a sw20 lsd fit the front.

Awsome!

I think the only 'cheap' options for the front diff would be to use the mr2 lsd as the front diff in the tranny. These have been for sale before, around the 6-800 dollar range, but there is no verifiable proof other than what the sellers claim. Shipping one from japan would likely be out of the question. It would have to be a DIY project.

Do you still have a link to the seller?

Maybe marteen can just get them to sell the lsd package, and he can install it himself to save on cost.
