newb question about valve lash and adjustments

Postby alltracshoak » Sat Jul 19, 2008 2:59 am

ok, im in the process of a shimless bucket conversion. i did some measurements with the feeler gauge. i got the measurements of the one that can slide in. then i took off the guide and the shim and measure those with a micrometer. so is this how to calculate the right shim/shimless bucket size i need?
measurement of valve lash +- (depending of the correction i need)shim size+ guide = shimless bucket size i need?
thanks, this is my first time doing it so need a little bit of help.also, what are the min-max clearance of the valve lash on the intake side and on the exhaust side in in???
