mr2 engine but what oil dipstick/tube to use

i got an mr2 engine but didn't get the dipstick with it.the tube is different from celica.celica dipstick is pressed into the block and mr2 has a bolt holding it in place by the water neck.is it ok to use mr2 dipstick ?will it read the same?

will it b okay to use mr2 dipstick as long as im using the tube from the mr2.just asking cause im having difficulty taking it off my spare block

yes, if you can manage to get it bracketed correctly. i think on the mr2's it bolts against the alternator? i tried to use it but couldn't get it set up correctly, so i ended up pulling the oil pan and using a punch/mallet to kick the guide out, and drove an alltrac one in.

worked 100 % better

I've been using the mr2 one that the engine came with....the alternator is a little bit in the way on removing and inserting but not much of a bother to me.
 
I believe the MR2 tube bolts to the water inlet neck. If that neck works
then fine but it looked to me like it would interfere with the altenator
ducting. The MR2 tube presses into a fitting in the block. That fitting must
be removed (its a knurled circular fitting on the outside of the block) and
I could only get mine out but pounding it out from inside the block .....
Also I dont think you can order the dipstick for the alltrac anymore, its
discontinued (I think)
