The ST165/ST185/ST205 4WD systems are really FWD? Weigh in!

Thanks for that picture and description^^^^. You guys are forgetting about one thing though...unless you are going 88 mph the flux capacitor will not operate so thus the VC cannot send the proper amount of torque to the wheels.

It wouldn't be the internet if somebody wasn't spouting off incorrect information. Thank you, athousandleaves for posting the official details from Toyota.

I'll be very curious how good/bad my manual trans Camry Alltrac (no viscous coupler, only the center locker) acts in snow when I finally get it up and running again... The auto-locker on the auto trans Camry Alltrac is kinda fun - slip, slip, lock and go (then oversteer with the helical rear diff I have on it)!

LOL, I screen capped the same text but not the image to post in this thread. If he simply took 10 minutes to watch the video he would understand how this actually works and that something is wrong with his gearbox that he is using the base is opinion.

Well my car has a stock open front diff. The stock open center diff with an upgraded Mario Viscous Coupling with a rating of 400NM vs the stock Viscous coupling that has a rating of 150-175NM. And a rear Cusco clutch type LSD. Here is a video of me going through and showing my my wheels are linked together.

Here is a video of me showing the freeplay in the driveline and since I have 2 hands now cause my camera aka my phone is on the ground I have more force to try and move the rear tires through the VC unit fighting me.

This is a view from the opposite side of the car. I was checking to see that the rear wheels were in fact moving in the same direction which means the center diff/VC unit where moving. If they had moved in opposite directions then that would mean the discs in the rear LSD were allowing the tire to be spun and the Center diff/VC where still stationary.
