Fair enough to say a little of both. But I certainly paid for it at the time.

Engine build time! You know it's been awhile based simply on the quality of the photos. I sent the block and head to the machine shop for the usual. The block was overbored to 86.5mm and the head had the seats reground, ported and polished. Based on Fraser's recommendations, I did not change valves or valve springs. My power goals did not require it. I also asked that the head not be reassembled so that I could check the work myself. It's a good thing I did because the cams were installed in the wrong positions. Enjoy some engine goodness!
