ST165 v ST185 Engine mounts

Postby freddie » Mon Jul 16, 2018 2:24 pm

Are there any differences between engine mounts for a ST165 Celica and a ST185? I believe the front and rear mounts are the same,
but I am told the top left and right are different? I have seen the timing belt end mount with a balance weight thing on top of it. The engine mount on top of the transmission looks the same on both models?

Can any one help here?

I know the engine mounts on the ST205 are very different.

Thanks in advance.

Hey guys,
Please can somebody tell me? You see I can get these engine mounts and the seller tells me the ST165 mounts are the same as ST185

Cheers

They have different part numbers:

ST185:
12362-74140 (RH)
12372-74230 (LH)

ST165:
12362-74040 (RH)
12372-74070 (LH)

Comparing the mounts:
The ST185 LH mount has an additional mounting hole:

The ST185 RH mount has a top stud.

Some members say that 3 out the 4 mounts fit into the ST165, however I only own a ST185 so can't confirm this 100%.
