E150F trans question

Postby lalojamesliz1 » Wed May 15, 2019 8:55 pm

So now I have. a spare (broken) e150f and a e154f installed. I think the aluminum shift forks are broken. Can I use the transfer case on my e154f if needed? I just want to know if I should keep the trans or transfer case as a spare. I was thinking of exploring with the trans to see how easy it is to upgrade the shift forks so I can get the knowledge to do it on my e154f when I'm ready.

It should work just fine using the old transfer case. You'd probably need to remove the selector on top. If you do end up taking the broken transmission apart would you consider selling the front diff?

Sorry man I wanted to keep that. I want to keep whatever I might need from this swap in the future for my all-trac.
