I did a video adapting a 205 rear diffuser to a 185.

Something I just realized today, I already knew that the USDM 5th gen Celicas had two rear tow hooks while the JDMs only had one. But now I noticed the USDM 5th gens and ST205s have the tow hook with the loop going front to rear, and the JDM 5th gen has the loop go side to side. That means I'll have to take a slightly different approach if I want to run a diffuser on my car.

I knew the rc had a lighter rear bumper bar but I didn’t know it had a different hook angle too. Eric in the comments mentions it is in a different position. Hopefully you can just cut your new one and blank off the old one somehow.

Ah I didn't realize the rear bar is lighter, though they may cheated a little and just ditched that tow hook so they could say that lol.

Comparing the picture to yours it might actually be far enough over to not touch the diffuser at all. I might have to see if EndWorks can send me one without the tow hook hole cut out and go from there.

That is very far over isn't it. Yeah, that may help the RC/CS guys if they don't want to do much cutting. I noticed some 185 exhaust go far over too, so those might also not need to be cut.

Congratulations!
The one mistake I've spotted is that you parked on number 165 :D

Ha, you just gave me a reason to go back there and take a pic if there is a spot that says 185. I am going to check that this afternoon.

Thanks to those who voted for the car. Here is an update on the contest.

Congrats! I subbed as well :) Glad to see ST185 getting some love, but at the same time it's bittersweet.

Thanks. I am ok not winning the finals. I am realistic about what I did to my car compared to the competition.

Thanks. Been driving the car a little now, mostly by myself now my kids are back in school. I am also in the process of receiving another project car, that is under wraps at the moment. I might have to figure out how to store the alltrac when it comes.
Maybe I should do another guessing game like I did with my paint.
I am also working on a buyers guide video with the market rising on alltracs.

It's too late to be of use to me, but I certainly might have found a guide like you propose of use as I approached my purchase.

It's heartening to know that you kept yours running for much of that 22 years. Just read your first post--obviously there were mistakes and bad steps along the way.

You've had your alltrac as long as I've had my F-150.

It's all been a learning experience. Up and downs, but the car has grown with me as I have grown as a person. Of course, if I knew then what I knew now, everything would all be different. I'd likely bought that TT Supra I passed on before the F&F movies came out.

I remember the good ole days when getting a TT Supra was a realistic goal. Those days are long since past for me.

I hope some of the BaT Supras are still enjoyed, not just mothballed. But that's the way it goes.

Yeah right? Doug Demuro did a Supra video oh what three years ago and the best comment was along the lines of “What, a stock MkIV Supra with 12,000 miles? Mad respect.”

This thread is the thread my thread wants to grow up to be. Love it.

If you all remember my guess the paint riddle I did 10 years ago I am doing another one on Instagram for my new project car.
Go watch the story and I give the first clues in there.

EDIT: Someone solved the problem, so I will be working on a video showing the new project as well as explaining the riddle.
