Josh FWIW vaccum at idle should be between 20-22 psi.

17 psi sounds like there is still a minor leak somewhere.

Had to drive the car ~40 miles to work today. Felt interesting on the highway.

I know my gearing is conciderably higher, but what do you guys rev for crusing at 70mph?

Mine sits at 2,800 rpm.

Just got a set of Evo 8 brembo calipers.

I am going to use the fronts and most likely the st205 rears.
I might put the rear brembos up for sale, unless I try and fit them on the rear as well, thenthe 205 rears will go for sale.
I will most likely use the 205 ones so I do not have to make brackets. If I do use the evo rears I will still use the rear discs from the st205.

I will most likely use sti rotors and a spacer.
Plus my oem setup will most likely go for sale to help cover the cost.

Got my new catch can in today. It helped out a lot. Vac is now 19 at idle. Idle is better and does not dip as much. So there is still a small vac leak at large.

THe car sounds louder and more aggressive now too. It also pulls harder. Can't wait to sort out all these vac issues. I think I am almost there.

I got up this morning and set my front camber marks to 0 on the pillow mounts. Then, I took it in for my firestone lifetime alignment.
They fixed my toe, but would not align my car. They claim since its lowered, it can not be brought into spec.
They also claim the Rear Right is a different height from the left.

So I will most likely have to get one of my autox friends to align it right.

By adjusting the camber plates, I know I reduced thefront camber.

Here are the specs the gave back to me.

Front Left
Camber: -.03
Caster: 1.2
Toe: 15.5

Front Left
Camber: -.03
Caster: 0
Toe: 16.1

Rear Left
Camber: -1.4
Toe: .20

Rear Right
Camber: -2.2
Toe: .28

I need to get that sorted out soon.
I am wondering about my Teins. There are little match marks on the camber plates. I wonder if one mark equals ~1 degree of camber. I might try and increase my front camber some at least for the dragon.

I am also wondering about caster solutions.
I wonder if I got alignment bolts to cover front camber, and turned my camber plates to be usedfor caster.

Might be a cheap solution. Not sure if it will work though.
Hopefully I will get some pics soon of a 205 vac setup and can get the rest of my bugs out of my engine.

Alright, I am running out of things to check. The caar runs ok, but still has a hard time building boost over 10psi and still feels like it might be slightly pulling timing above 10psi.

I have made some adjustments and tightened all my hoses.

I have been using a device I made for finding leaks and it keeps blowing off. I think my air leaks are resolved though.

Vac is at 19hg, which leads me to concider my vac setup still has something wrong.

It idles fine on startup but the idle dips to ~300-400 after coming to a stop.

It drives fine while cruising and only has issues above 10psi.

I have an error code 23. (I have been told this is an abs code among other things) this might be part of the problem though.

I had a friend take pics of his 205 engine. My hoses match his, except these (which he does not know where they belong either).

I used one for boost and blocked the other off.

Here is a pic of the two hoses I speak of. Any suggestions on where to go from here? I can post vid of the dash if it helps diagnose anything.

Idle Speed Control Valve bad? Send me over a pic of your engine bay and I'll have a close look.

I have been thinking about this since last week. I'll see if I cannot make a few calls for you this weekend.

Best Regards,
Chris

I found some olds notes of mine. Those two metal hoses are from the charcoal canister. One person told me to loop them together. I am going to do that and do a quick vid of the test drive and take some pics of the engine bay.

I will post back soon.

I am having the same low idle issues at stop lights. tap the gas and it idles back up to 800 ish.

If ya don't mind can you post any progress on this problem in this thread?

ah! that's exactly it. Just loop that like you said and take your boost from the back of the intake manifold.

(CC) It's just needed a vacuum source though.. so not sure how much that will help. But, good lucK! :)

I tired looping them, then my vac droped to 16hg. I think I may just plug them both.

Its possible my code 23 could be part of the problem. I just checked the wiring and tried my extra THA sensor. Still giving me code 23 after clearing it out.
