So i guess i'll do a project post here because i have one at st162.net

A little history about my car. I got it from a guy in chicago, near skokie. I paid 2k for it with 180k on the dash. I was told the engine had a FULL rebuild and a newer supra turbo. Now when i took out the engine the seals still had a bright red to them so i wouldn't doubt the rebuild. I had the car for about a month before the clutch started slipping. I garaged her and it took me 2 months to pull the engine and replace my clutch. Considering that was my FIRST engine pull, i did damn good. It took me another month to get the correct parts and put her back in. You guys wouldn't believe what i had to do to get a damn flywheel. Its been 3 months since and im loving every second of her.

Here are some pictures of her.

NEW GAUGE POD!!!!!!!!!!!

looks good zack

what kind of powerlevels are you shooting for? the reason why i ask is that you want 272 cams and a 2.2l stroker, the cams themselves are overkill for most application making less than 450whp, but your listing a cheap st185 ct26, and a ssac downpipe and intercooler kit. a ct26 will barely get you to 250whp, if that, and SSAC isn't that great, especially the endtanks. i doubt that intercooler would actually fit. you know, you can get a custom intercooler kit made and as long as you find an honest shop, they don't cost an arm and a leg, and the will be much better quality.

i might recommend also wait for deals to come up as opposed to buying from the dealers. thats the best way to build a car on a budget, which your probably doing since your 18 (its alright, im only 20)

also, if your building it for power over show, theres a few things you won't need, like egr block off's and samco radiator hoses. they'll make your engine look cleaner, but they won't do much more than that and sap your funds....

well the st185 ct26 is only gonna be while i break in the motor because i would really hate to blow it after eveything. Same with the intercooler and downpipe, they will be replaced once a bigger turbo is put on. I really wasn't sure about the cams so suggestion would be great. I am shooting for the magic 500 but still be street drivable. I definatly will be checking the alltrac for sale section more often now!

Puffy.... hydra nemis ecu will come into play along the lines somewhere, i jsut forgot to add it.

you may just want to keep your stock turbo, find a st185 manifold and wait for something you like to come across. i wouldn't put money into the ssac stuff, especially if its just going to get replaced with something bigger and better later on. take that money and put it into something your going to keep on the car.

also, if you keep the st165 head, you won't need the speed source fuel stuff. st165's already have top feeds and their rail is pretty big from what i hear. you may just look into getting an adapter kit for an adjustable fpr. i believe mtbuggies should be able to source all the fitting you need and make you a kit. if you do keep the 165 head, you can still run ats 264 cams (should be fine) and you can still give it a good port/polish and build the valvetrain up on it. just my .02

picked her up today, theres not a mechanical thing wrong with her. Drove her 2 hours home fine, all power options, sun roof, auto climate control, the only thing shes missing is the all-trac.

UPDATE 10/1/07

So i have proof that god hates me....

you wouldn't believe how loud the thuds where everytime i shifted.

But you know what, its okay because this gave me an excuse to go have some fun. Battery is now in the rear. Everything is hooked up, just gotta fix the mount first before everything goes back together. O and i gotta weld a few nipples onto the new intake tube for the PCV.

I also went and bought some intrax springs(thx 2of81). I cant wait to put those on :D.

comments welcome and appriciated

UPDATE 11/10/07

I feel the need for an update...
First off i'd like to say that the red celica is a pain in the ass, not to mention its cold as hell outside. I spent 250$ on parts to fix her, if she has any problems within the next decade, im gonna be pissed.

The alltrac is doing fine, though she was leaking oil for a week but then she just stopped.. weird, yes but i'll have to fix it eventually. Here are pics accordingly.

bitch car...
