ok managed to strip the old engine down to day,

and it’s not looking good :( from what I can see all of the rods will need replacing as that have been badly warn on the 1 side of all of them

now that i have the new work hop built i have been doing some mods to the the tvis plate
this is how the plate looks with out he flaps in

next joc it to port match the exhaust manifold and polish it up to help with flow and do a bit more to the inlet manifold to as you can see there is still a bit more i can do the it to help flow

got the new engine block today :) I found out that is it as CS block to :).

so striped it all down ready for it to be hot tank and board to take my 86.5CP pistons as you can see the bearings that came out were in pretty good shape.

gave it a good clean in my cleaing tank

and had a good look at the cranks and it all looks good to me. so should only need a chemical clean, juts need to see if it is stock bearings or over size,

all that needs doing now if to have to ceramic coated to help keep the head down in the engine bay and it will help spool the turbo up a bit quicker

cleaned the hot side of the turbo up and then ceramic coated it to help keep the heat in and help it spool up a bit quicker

got the head back tonight :) all nice and clean decked and all the valves have been recut and sealed as thay were leaking very bad.

then I striped my turbo down ready to go and be rebuild again:(

the cold side of the turbo all cleand up and painted ready for when it goes back to gether

on the turbo head shield, pained it all up with 650c white paint then baked it to harden the pain as it only set rely hard at 2550c

heat shield in the oven :) don’t tell the wife lol

then covered the inside of the shield with a 1250c lagging to help keep the heat down in the engine bay and help keep the heat in the turbo to quicker spool
this is the 1250c lagging wrap I have

it is up for sale as i wont be using this, im going to be fitting a nice side feed manifold witch im getting next week :) so that keep me bizy ove xmass as it will need to be ported and port mach :)

then take any ally out that is in the way of air flow and port marched it to the TVIS plate

with all the white, if you have any issues with oil leaks, they'll be easy to track down :lol:

Everything looks super nice in that white, cant wait to see the engine bay when your done 8)

that 1 of the reasons i did it all white :) looking forward to seeing how much difference the side feed will make compaired to the stock manifold.

Did you work out what caused your thrust bearing failure? And did the new radiator solve ur over heating? How did u stop the head lifting?

no we never found out whay it failed but we think that the place that built the engine the first time for me might of put the bearing in the wrong way round :( as it will fit both ways but then the oil way is the wrong way. it does help lots as you have a lot more water in so help keep cooler and with a 56mm rad its much bigger and better cooling:)

manifold is now fitted to the head:)
hear you can see the plate I had to make so that I can use the idle up valve and for there to be a back plate for the air bypass
