ok so ive been building a st184 for the past year. got about 95% of the parts that i want. i recently went through a brink of genius or maddness. depending on how you look at it. and was just wondering what your guys opinions are on it. im thinking about swaping the FWD to AWD...

so far in my build i have

5sfe block
3sgte head
hks valve springs.
hks cam gears
aem engine management
a "stage 3" turbonetics t3/t4 turbo
eagle forged con rods
je forged pistons .20 over
toga high velocity oil pump
800cc precision injection injectors.
cx racing intercooler piping kit
hks turbo timer
hks evec-s boost controler
toga main bearings and rod bearings
hux racing side feed intake manifold with ford mustang 5.0 throttle body
3sgte oil pan
3/8 aluminum fuel lines
oil cooler
fmic
varible fuel pressure regulator
obx fuel rail

im planing on getting

tial 50mm wastegate
hks 264 lift cams
fereria valves +1mm over
port and polish
tubeular 3sgte exhaust manifold
hks ssqv Bov
jaz 10 gallon fuel cell
aeromotive external fuel pump
75cc direct port NOS injection
and more i just forget currently

im planing on putting down 500hp down to the ground. so converting to a mr2 lsd or awd tranny will help keep traction. what do you guys think. i can get a awd tranny no problem. getting the other stuff maybe a problem

You cant just get the AWD gearbox, diff, etc and bolt them into a 184.
The floor pan and rear suspension mounting is completely different.

Find a cheap Alltrac and move everything across.

Took me 2 years to do that, lol. And $3000 wasn't super cheap!

You can import an alltrac rear subframe and modify the floor pan as needed. Buying the whole complete rear subframe/suspension/diff will make it a lot easier.

yeah. i know the floor pan will most likely need to be modified. i was planing on getting the whole rear section of a alltrac and modifying it to work the cars fully gutted so now would prob be the best time to goa bout doing this. and welding in whatever i need and modifying the floor pan.

Itll still cost you far more to do than buying an Alltrac.
Not to mention far more time & headaches.
