Got an update coming guys! I've been going through some crap lately and it's kept me going on some things with the car. A little crazy what one can do when the need to stay busy is present. Keep an eye out for on car pics with a real camera.

Since the car came to another turning point and I will be playing with it quite a bit again, I will post all my updates here again. Some of you know what happen but for those that do not, I cracked my block and am now rebuilding once again. :| Im pretty sure I know exactly when this happen and if Im right it was a $16 part that took out the motor. Anyways, heres some of the progress I have made to getting her back on the road. Everything will be exactly how I desire this time!
This is my discovery when the head was pulled

On the way to the shop to pull the rest of the assembly.

My end of day results.

Cleaned up my trans. today. Prepped it with POR15 Metal Prep then sprayed with POR15 flat black. Super happy with the results.

Pulled the GT35R and readied it for shipping. Trading it for a 3071, I simply hated the lag of the 35 and cant wait to have some response back.

The plan for my long block is to send all of it to Kris at KO Racing. He is an amazingly helpful and knowledgeable individual and I highly recommend him over ATS! Gonna let Kris do his thing and slowly get other aspects of the car in order.

Yeah, sprayed it on with a primer gun. You need a gun with a larger tip, primer gun worked great I just had to turn up the pressure.

Seeing as I don't really have the time (and knowledge - which will take more time to read up on!) to tear apart the transmission for powder coat, this seems the most feasible way for me to get the transmission coated.

Is the gun pretty much ruined after spraying on the por15 or did you have to run solvent through for a bit to get it cleaned out?

What is your theory oh what happened with the motor? What $16 part did it? Just curious.
One of the two screws that holds the dizzy rotor in place came loose, the rotor detonated a cylinder before eating itself inside the cap. I'm guessing the damage in three is the result of that. There is zero other instances that the car had issues, it always ran perfect up until that point.

Sold the turbo kit to Todd. I'm going to miss it for sure but right now I would rather have the car running stock than nothing at all. There will be another kit someday. Take care of her Todd, she will treat you well. Getting my JDM motor ordered tomorrow, just going to do head studs with cometic HG , new timing belt, OCD cleaning, my HKS cams, install all my powdered parts, install my clutch and transmission, forge waste gate to better control what little boost I will have. After that laundry list is done it will be tuned on my AEM. I'm hoping to make at least 250. I missed the power curve of a stock motor after having such a laggy set up, it was fun but I never really fell in love with the big motor. Pics will be coming soon.
