Took some pics today

My bumper with mesh in the holes.

Unfortunately it seems like the hot glue is not doing the job  so I will have to readdress that problem!

The blowoff valve is adjustable from full recirculating to full atmosphere. I directed the recirculate back towards the turbo as a kind of cheap anti lag! I hope anyway. The little container next to the Radiator cap is my custom overflow bottle.

Onwards,

So it's a 3" downpipe with a separated waste gate pipe that is 41mm, (1 5/8"). There is a divider in side so the exhaust is totally sealed from the waste gate side. I will probably send it out this week to get it ceramic coated.

More soon!

More,

The divider pokes into the exhaust side of the turbo to separate the exhaust gases from the waste gate gases.

I welded a little skid plate on to the cross member to protect my flex from scrape damage. They're
expensive!!

Fraser

This is what I build for a living. They are called a Fraser. They are a series 3 Lotus 7 replica. We build everything inhouse. It is my job to skin the cars in alloy.

Bit more on my part on the Frasers. I know off topic but I thought you guys might be interested and yes we do export!!

Everything is done by hand.

Rear of the car

This is the most labour intensive part of the car as all the curved parts have the alloy wrapped over the chassis tubes. LOTS of shrinking by hand with a hammer. My workmates hate me when it comes to this part of the skinning, bang bang bang for most of a day!

Exhaust and downpipe look great! Also great work on the Lotus Rep. I've had a ride in a Super 7 with a rotary engine in there and it was a fun little car.

Image The Miata was the Mrs' old car and we were out auto crossing.

Honestly I'd be interested in getting a downpipe and mid pipe from you if you ever decide to make a spare setup! Assuming it'd fit the stock turbo...

It's coming along quite nicely! Loving the work on the car. Glad to see ST165s under the knife.

Get it done locally. It's cheaper than having pipes shipped from NZ. Just saying... :|

Thanks guys. ^^^^Totally agree!! Support your local industry! Otherwise when you want it, it wont be there and wherever you have been going
can hold you to ransom.

Fitted a Whiteline sway bar tonight. Part number BTR29Z. Rear sway bar for a St185/St205, fits perfect if your St165 doesn't have the ABS bulge.

Update! Surge tank

DSC02046.JPG

The other alloy plate is to cover the bigger hole that I cut out above the fuel tank. I can pull everything out of the tank without dropping the tank. I just thought it would be easier!

DSC02048.JPG
The High pressure pump

You can just see it poking out from behind the surge tank. So behind the surge tank and in the cavity above the wheel well is a prefilter from the surge tank into the high pressure pump then through a post filter and onto the motor.

I just wanted something different. It came up on our version of ebay . If you dont know it's from a St162 Corona. I had the grille dechromed and painted it black as were the indicator lense surrounds. I saved a bunch of weight by getting rid of the pop up lights as a bonus.
I have plans for the bonnet including a colour change!!

Great build. And I thought my stock 165 engine bay was tight! Nice headlight conversion. We don't get the ST162 Corona in North America, so it's not an option for us.

Looks cool, although I prefer the pop up lights on the ST165. I always said, if I got a (88-89) Celica GTS coupe, I'd look for that front end conversion. Always keep the original in case you want to change. Keep up the good work.
