I've been way too busy to take any pictures, so we'll jump forward in time.

I'm now in the process of tuning the engine. Got her running better today -- enough to drive and get more gas.

But here it is pulling into the garage.

It was actually starting pretty easily early on, but I could not get any sort of stable idle. I mechanically opened up the throttle to 13%, which put idle around 2k. Finally got that tuned enough to put the vac-assisted idle speed reducer hose back in. So idle is around 1500 now. I can deal with that until I get an idle air valve. These 2000cc injectors are tricky, I guess.

Well, she's tuned enough to make it to storage before I trailer her to Georgia in a month or so.

Check out the quick-and-dirty intake pipe, courtesy of Lowe's.

We moved our belongings (junk) to Atlanta this last weekend, including the ST185. Here's a picture from Limon, Colorado.

It's good to have her near me again, in her own garage this time.

Anyone have opinions on the various garage floor epoxies? When I read websites like http://www.armorcladepoxy.com and http://www.armorgarage.com -- which are selling their own products, so they're biased -- I'm left with the impression that everything at Lowes or Home Depot is junk. Obviously, I work on my car, and need something really tough that will last, not just look pretty for a few months.

Welcome Ya'll :D

Good to see you made it safe; that's quite a drive! As far as locals on your side of town, I know gt4rcdude lived on that side a while back, but I haven't seen any activity from him in recent years. I'm on the I-75 side north of the perimeter and msanders2 is off I-20 west close to the Bama state line. I think we'll all have our cars ready in time for the 2014 Tail of the Dragon Alltrac Meet. Outside of that, we're always willing to do a mini-meet or help with projects.

For floor covering, I've seen this product in person and it holds up really well to chemicals and hot tires.

Did you ever contact my buddy about the emissions tuning? He's not too far from you.

Cheers!

Thanks -- maybe we can setup a mini meet like you said, within a couple of months. I'll try to get Tail of the Dragon on the calendar, too.

Epoxy Coat actually looks pretty decent, and I saw HD has it here. Maybe I don't need full industrial strength. ;) (http://www.armorgarage.com/qatestsection.html)

Ya, your buddy and I emailed a bit. Thanks again.

Over the weekend my wife dragged me to some of the high-end Parade of Homes houses. The nicest one, $2.4M, had a garage floor covering that the builder called ¨Rock Hard¨ if I remember correctly. He said it was not an epoxy, but it looked like other epoxy coatings I´ve seen. He even thought the price was reasonable at $11K for the job (a local subcontractor did the LARGE garage.) A quick search didn´t pop up anything that looked like it, but I did stumble across a forum thread that may be of interest:

$11k -- no problem. lol

Thanks for that thread, Scott -- it's given me 20 more things to consider. :)
