Been a while figure an update is required seeing how ive actually been working on the car quite a bit. Recently finished swapping in a gen4 3sgte matted to a RC transmission. Oil filter had to be relocated and some cutting of the sway bar bracket for clearance. I didn’t take a whole lot of pictures during the swap its just too damn cold outside. Also modified a st185 ebay 3”exhaust for it. Enjoy

f*** yeah!
Haha i was hoping you would see my update.
Dude I can't tell you how happy it makes me that A) this car still exists, and B) you actually took the time to make this car as nice as it deserves to be. You seriously have done just about everything I ever had planned for it and more. Really glad it went to the right home! Keep the updates coming man (when you get the time of course).

I couldn't get away from the AWD sedan life, I now am living with a turbo Subaru Legacy GT sedan. Been a complete money pit of course and has all of the Subaru problems to be expected. Still a fun car, but severely lacks the personality the All-trac had (and that tight Toyota quality). I've been kicking around the idea of finding another one somewhere especially now that I have a real shop and am not going through a goddamn divorce, but they're even harder to find than they were when I sold mine/yours. Hell, it seems all '80s toyotas are exploding in value and rarity. I'd kill for another Pickup or 1st gen 4Runner or MK3 Supra too, but all the cars from my past are either too expensive to touch, or straight-up don't exist anymore. There was a day where damn near everything in the stable was a Toyota, and honestly at this point I haven't owned one since the Camry...

New frame and front clip good as new. I post most of my stuff on instagram teqgarage or my Facebook page Teq Garage.

I agree though the price of vintage toyota’s has gotten out of hand. Im just glad ive got the cars ive got.

I took my st185 last year, probably my sw20 if I can’t get my st165 done by then. I prefer to take an alltrac.

Nice! I like it a lot, keep it going! I'd follow you on Instabook, but I use absolutely no social media.

I put a JDM takeout 7M-GE in an '88 pickup back in '06-07 (though never fully finished it to the point where it was reliable, only had one motor mount), and when I got rid of it I picked up an '88 SR5 4runner with the intention of doing that and more, but it ended up getting scrapped as well due to a lack of funding, a tiny bit of rust and a grenaded 22re. My early 20s were a turbulent time and I rarely if ever finished projects (the targa '89 supra also got sold for $400 with the all too common 120k mile headgasket leak). If I could go back now with today's knowledge and funding it would be a totally different life. But instead now I have Datsuns and Chevys, who would've thought?

Hell, you're not too far from me, let me know if you find any cool cars/trucks/projects that you don't want to take for yourself lol. I'm always looking, though it seems like you have better luck finding stuff

That's pretty awesome! Have you had a chance to drive it yet?
I'm a little jealous, I always wanted to do a turbo swap in my Cressida.

Wow! I had no idea you had a swapped SV25. Let me know if you need anything for it or if you run into something weird. Has anyone used one of these for hillclimb or rally? I wonder how the strange front suspension setup will effect the handling during racing on these. I think mine is finally ready to race at the go kart rack out here this year but I really have not had a chance to compare how it handles to a 185. If it sucks I guess I can just try to set it up for the drag strip and street.

Seriously you should, all the little things you have to do to make them work you forget about. But its so much more work to document it all. It is enough work just to do the swap. I know exactly how you got where you are. Every 90s toyota I see come up I think that would be sick with a 3s. I almost bought a 91 corolla myself. That is really sweet to see one swapped.
