So the gaskets and the parts for the valve cover came in. Just waiting to get a gen 4 3sgte PCV then I can take off the valve cover, paint it, then install the gasket and so on. I'm thinking painting the valve cover aquamarine pearl like my SW20.
The color is sort of like this.
As for the Cosmo Racing shifter, I had a bit of a chat with the mechanic that runs the site. It appears the secondary guide ball or "weight" as the mechanic put it is not in the same spot. I ended up installing the shifter but noticed more "slop" than the stocker. I firmly believe they gave me a 1990-1991 ST185 short throw shifter rather than a 1992-1993. I spoke to Paul (owner? mechanic?) at Cosmo and Paul stated that MY shifter was incorrect? Very strange back and fourth we had, but you decide:
Stock on the right, Cosmo on the left:

Lower guide ball for the smooth shifting can be seen clearly here and the next photo toward the lower arm:
At the end of the day the stock shifter is staying in for now. I'm not having any problems with it, but would have liked to use the Cosmo. After install of the Cosmo, it was audibly messy and felt very sloppy in comparison because of the missing lower guide ball. Paul was convinced this was a "counter weight" but clearly it's being used for slop dampening.
