With or without ABS? You'll have to confirm in here but I believe the 185 bar fits non-ABS 165's.

My Celica is a JDM import without ABS. I have fitted a ST185 Whiteline sway bar to the rear.

Generally no, a sway bar for a 185 will not fit a 165. There is a small pocket created in the floor pan
right where the bar is to pass. this pocket has a removable black steel plate in the rear floor under the
back seat. There is nothing in it (I have removed the plate to look) What purposes it was for is any ones
guess. It serves no purposes.

To install the 185 sway bar, you have to either bend/cave in the side and bottom out of the pocket
out of the way or cut remove the pocket entirely. Either way it is not easy as with the rear diff and
subframe in the way, there is not much room. But it can be done. I have done it. First time was with the use
of a big hammer and some chisels. lol. Then some time later when I had the diff and subframe
out, I cut and folded the sides in and made the removal look neat.

You see the ST165 Whiteline bar has an offset in it that goes around this pocket in the floor pan.
Trying to find a sway bar new, is like trying to find rocking horse shit. (for the 165 that is)

The pocket is for the ABS brick, most cars have them under the hood. I was under the impression the non-ABS models didn't have the hump but I guess they do.
