WTB: ST185 220 watt Amplifier
Looking for a 220 watt factory amplifier. Should be part number 86280-20170, 86280-20171, 86280-20172 or something similar. Willing to consider similar amps if they possibly fit.

For a 1990 All-Trac at least, the correct Toyota P/N for the amplifier is 86280-20200. You didn't say what your vehicle application was - that would always help.
Here is one on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Toyota-Celica- ... SwvaBcny8k
I actually have 2 spares - but have 4 vehicles using these, so I prefer to retain my spares.
Good Luck!

Do these break often? I had two spares and sold one recently. I offered to sell the other, but now am thinking of keeping it now. The one in my car is still going strong.

Re: WTB: ST185 220 watt Amplifier
The amps on these cars have the same problems the System 10 head units have - capacitors that eventually fail. Same with the ECU's on these cars (except the ECU's don't get quite as warm, so the caps last a bit longer typically). Unless you are very good at circuit board repairs and have the necessary equipment to identify failures on the circuit board, and can remove/replace components w/o damaging the boards, I'd suggest keeping a spare of each. Just my opinion though.

Re: WTB: ST185 220 watt Amplifier
The amps also have a lot more caps and they're harder to access than in the ECU. Taking my time I can swap all the caps in an un-damaged ECU in under an hour, but one of these amps would take many times longer.
