In case someone has this kicking around. It may be the ultra rare and expensive unobtanium.

I can offer stock and or some Megan Coilovers as trade + if you need suspension.

Thanks. - I actually heard the owner passed away in a motorcycle accident last year and the business's future was questionable, hearing that second hand so not sure if it's true.

Samsonas makes a great suspension. Much better then DMS. Many rally users in US. Destributed by Fercomp in Charlotte NC. Better priced then Ohlins etc.

DMS have a pretty average reputation here in Australia funnily enough.
They seem to be more popular OS.

Have a chat to Street Wise.
They build up struts for pretty much anything mcpherson-strut using Bilstien UMS dampers. They run gravel rally cars, so know what they are doing.
Ive got a pair on the front of my 185.

Those seem reasonablely priced. You say you only run them in the front? What are you running out back?

Also on a unrelated note, I noticed your signature and your collection of documentation has helped me with my car previously so thank you.

The UMS itself is reasonably priced :)
By the time you've had the top shaft machined, recharge valve fitted, lower mounting ears welded on, oiled & gassed up, etc they end up costing quite a lot more.
But if they are properly valved (tuned to suit your car/driving), then they are properly awesome. It'll take something very high end to be better.
Ive set mine up for tarmac rally. So softish spring, digressive valving, highish compression damping, and softish rebound damping.

I've got Koni Racing 8611's on the back for the moment. They are inserts.

I originally had these on the front as well, but they cant handle the punishment of a heavy McPherson strut car. They only lasted about 12 months before they died. On the rear they've lasted a bit longer.
At some point i'll put the UMS's on the rear as well.

Also on a unrelated note, I noticed your signature and your collection of documentation has helped me with my car previously so thank you.

You're quite welcome :)
