just a quick question Rene.. or anyone that knows for that matter

do all turbo timers need a harness?
ie. the HKS one uses that tt3 one right? or can one simply splice into wires?

You can splice the wires.
But the harness makes the installation easier, cleaner and much much faster.
It well worths $15.

For the HKS, yes, that is correct: the TT-3

Pretty much just plug and play with the harness. I have the HKS type. Just have to wire the ground and one to the hand brake.

yes it can, any turbo timer can be hardwired in. But why potentially damage 20yr old wiring when you can obtain a plug-n-play harness for around $20-30 usd?

not unless the turbo timer you have doesnt offer the harness for the 4th gen celicas, then you have no other choice.

I doubt very much we'd be able to find a harness for it so there'll be a bit of wire hacking going on!

Thank you :)

I just bought one of those A'PEXi pen style turbo timers with the air fuel ratio and whatever, i know u have to kinda splice wires and shit to get the air/fuel in. but can i just plug the normal part of the turbo timer straight in the back of my ECU. st185???
