holy thread revival! does silverspeed still have this car?? i seriously liked how this color looks on his ST185...

this color is just not that popular in many cars-- i was very close to ordering my E46 BMW in this color (which they offered in 2001 when i bought my car, and maybe a few more years?), and i've only seen one in that color in person so far... so i guess that means the general public doesn't like this color...

anyways, (to the OP:) do you still have your car?

don't know if this helps but there is a group buy going on right now on 6gc.net for those rear sunvisors....mind you they are for a 6th gen but I'm betting they will be almost identical as the two hatches look very similar to me :shrug: .....someone may have to double check on fitment. They are goin for $80USD +shipping at the moment

Yup still got the car folks and still looking for another 185 in this colour. :D She's running over 500 plus bhp.. and earlier this year did a 11.364 1/4 mile @ 124.17mph. it will do 10's im pretty sure. :D

Out of pure interest I've done some digging on this colour (569) and have found a few things out...

It was also offered on the Toyota Sera (where it was madly popular) and a similar colour was revived on the Lexus CT200h.

In Japanese it is known as being colour "グリニッシュイエローマイカメタリック" which translates to "Greenish Yellow Mica Metallic" if you pronounce aloud.
In english speaking countries 569 is offically know as "GREENISH YELLOW PEARL"

Also it was featured on this GT-R 4WS celica in their brochure materials overseas however it looks more like orange version of the Almond Beige Pearl colour:

Toyota's actual paint code for Gold is 405, 407, 442, 472, 511, 520... the list goes on.

In total the ST18X was offered in 12 different colours over its life in Japan, more colours were offered in other countries.

I haven't been able to find a single photo online other than silverspeed's 569 185 which leads me to believe that this is still a very very rare colour for the ST18X chassis. However dirty super yellow ST205's do come close... :twisted:

If only 4 were ever made, I'm willing to bet this is the only one left. Especially considering Japans laws on older cars

Still have the car and still lovong her to bits. Now used as a weekend toy but still pushing 524 @hubs .. no major issues apart from clutch upgrade and a rmr manifold and throttle body change...
