Carina ST205

Can anyone provide some background on the Carina 4WD ST205? How is it similar to the GT4? What parts interchanged? When was it sold?

do you mean the Caldina ST215 aka the Avensis Station wagon 4WD turbo???

or the Caldina ST246?

I have found spotty info on the web about it. For instance, the LSD listings for TRD lists it as a ST205:

But the rear drive train is not the same, so what gives?

I have also found it as a E-ST205 or ST205-ED.

ST205 Carina ED: manufactured from May 1994 until April 1998

There was also the earlier ST16x & St18x version. Basically a 4 door Celica platform.

cool, the car is listed on my EPC (electronic parts catalogue) 8)



its a 4wd Carina with superstrut suspension, crappy brakes.
Some appear to be 4ws. (4 wheel steer)


Fom what i can make out....The rear diff is an open differential, ie different to the TorSen rear differential in the ST205 Celica GT-Four :shrug:.

Sweet looking car. They kind of remind me of a 4 door S15 Nissan. Too bad we didn't get them here.
