thanks for taking the time to put together this thread Meurz - amazing photos & great descriptions made me feel like i was part of the trip as others have said.

the TTE Hyper Rev style photo is really great! 8)

did you go to Monza & get to walk on the old track with the wicked banked curve?
i don't know how far it is from where you were in Italy at Ferrari etc.

btw, joe & i would officially like to be adopted by you :p

Haha, I don't know about age regulations but I think you 2 would have to adopt me.. :p

I didn't go to Monza, which would have been doable though, as it wasn't far from our route. But afaik you can't get on the old bank anymore. At least, that's what I was told last year during the F1 GP ((http://www.turbocelica.nl/f1monza07.htm) better weather than this year's GP too, btw! :D )

the reason i asked about Monza was during the F1 broadcast this past weekend they showed a helicopter shot & people were on the old banked turn ... maybe they were "special" visitors though :shrug:

yes, your trip to Monza last year was much better than this year's weather. it makes for an interesting race, but not so good to watch it live in the rain.

have you ever been to an F1 race at Spa?
joe & i plan on going someday & when we do we'll have to visit you & see our adopted kid's CS ... i guess being parents we get driving privledges lol :twisted: :D

Never been to Spa but I will go see F1 there one day. I also want to drive the track myself, but yeah, let me know if you go. Would be nice to meet and have a chat.

Etantshi; I plan to visit my mate in Texas next year (TX2k9 maybe?) but I'm sure you could plan a nice trip in the States too! :) I'd love to drive the old route 66 in a rusty yank tank, visit Grand Canyon, Pikes peak, etc..

awesome, it will probably be a few years before we can go to Spa, but after R2 is finally completed this spring we can start saving for that much deserved trip.

Meurz, let me know if you are going to Tx2k9 for sure b/c it's not too far from us at all & we would love to at least meet up whether or not we can participate in the events down there or not. :)
