Power limit on 2.5" downpipe

Postby gt4tified » Sun May 03, 2020 3:26 am

Can anyone say what the limit that a 2.5" downpipe will be in terms of hp/boost/flow? If I'm looking to push 300hp to the wheels at minimum, should I just look to go with a full 3" downpipe and be done with it?

If you have a 2.5" already it will flow enough for 300hp. If you don't have a downpipe just get the 3".

I had one of the cheaper xspower 3" ones that mated to my de-catted and custom 2.5" exhaust system. Emphasis on had..with the moving of the car around from place to place on a wrecker over the years, it picked up legs and walked away.

Was considering the 2.5" dp from KO racing or the Aussie, which, if I can find it, is more $$.

I would just go with a 3" that way you have the potential for more power.
