Anyone have details on the MBC from old forums?

Someone had pics and instrcutions on building a MBC for an ST165 in the old forums. Does anyone have this info kicking around? I am about to pull the exhaust manifold to replace the gasket and that would be a good time to mess with the wastegate.

Also, I will be hollowing out the pre-cat. Anyone have any pointers?

as far as gutting the cat, soak it down with brake cleaner or something similar first. Once you start hacking away at it its going to start going everywhere. Do not breath that crap in, get yourself a mask. that stuff is a health hazard. MBC's work the same way on all turbo's if I'm correct. Use this link http://www.geocities.com/chmwatson/FAQs/mbc.html some say not to put a bleeder hole, others dont. I'm not really sure what the disadvantages are. People also find better results from butting a ball on each end of the spring.

great guys...that is better than I had hoped for the MBC.

Do you know if there are any issues if you run the controller all the way into the cockpit as in having hoses that are too long?

If those hoses are way long you might get some spikes. And make sure you do make a bleed hole, I didn't and it caused lots of spikes.
