simple BOV question

Hi Guys,

I have noticed recently that my blow off valve only functions at high boost levels (14psi) and does not function at all at 8psi.

I have a blitz ss BOV and I have taken it off the car just now to check its movement, the plunger moves freely, but i noticed that there is a thread that goes into the top of the BOV, this also had a nut on it ( which i believe is a lock nut) but does not anymore.

does the position of this thread determine the functioning of the BOV ie what pressure it will or wont release at?

how do I adjust this thread so that it will work as it should at 8psi low pressure and 14 psi high pressure??

thanks!!

its possible that you just cant hear it at the low boost! ive found the blitz bov to be quite quiet... even my hks isnt very loud at low boost...

however if you are certain its not working then yes that nut on the top is how you adjust it :) have fun

if you carn't here it and it is still going off it is probably because it is a very good design. the sound that is heard is air turbulating, the louder the sound the more the air is turbulating and the worse the blow off valve is working.
