I wanted to ask how much horsepower is the stock block capable of handling assuming its well tuned? I intend to mod a motor with just the stck block. Whats goin in would be a tec3, 272 cams and a T3t4 60trim with .62 AR, 550cc njectors, walbro pump, sard regulator, clutch etc.. I will be using the WTA and intake of a 185 RC/CS. With this set up, would the stock pistons take 1.5bar boost or am I pushing it too much.

I think he is asking about with the stock pistons, rods, etc. The block itself could take that, however I think a few people still cement the block to hold its integrity at those levels...

ah yes

well the stock bottom end has been proven to be pretty stout as well... over 500 rwhp is the record so far... but reliability will suffer at that level im sure

i think 400awhp is attainable and still reliable... on race gas atleast

Yes I mean with stock pistons and rods. 400whp is the limit? If my goal is just 350whp I guess I would not need to upgrade my pistons yet unless I melt them due to wrong tuning
