Vibrant 3" Race Muffler- Too Loud?

Has anyone run a vibrant 3" race muffler on their car, no cats? I'm mostly concerned about highway cruising.

I've got a BWR 3" straight-through muffler, no cats or resonators and the axle-back goes over the axle. It's a bit loud and drones a bit cruising down the highway, but a silencer should help that a bit.

Wouldn't you lose power with a silencer because it will restrict the exhaust flow?
