how's it sound ? is it pretty quiet or do you get to hear some flutter?
I recirc'd my hks bov on my '90 that had the afm. it made a HUGE difference in driveability and shifting smoothness. really dug it.
but, kinda hard to hook up a duck call when your car's not blowing any air to atmo, ya know? :)

It’s pretty quiet. It sounds stock aside from having an open intake filter. I still have the first generation HKS SSQV with the recirculating kit but that thing is huge compared to the GFB DV. I just wanted to try something different and low key. I’m happy with the setup. I do miss the venting sound!

Awesome!
My setup is similar to yours.
Here's how I set mine up...

There is a dial in the cabin that I can rotate and choose how much to vent to atmosphere or recirc.
Works very nice!

What a great solution - thanks for sharing.
I am not at all happy with the HKS SSQV on my ST185. Its very bulky and doesn't really have a decent home in the engine bay. I'd also much rather have a recirc system in place given all the stories I hear about BOVs causing issues.

Didn't know about those self-sealing silicone joiners - going on my future mods list

Way back when on my second Alltrac I used to have a Samco T hose and the Fensport dump valve.
I loved the way it sounded.

I miss hearing that. I miss driving the car even more......
