Coilover rebuild

Postby 819_ay » Wed Jul 15, 2020 11:24 pm

Hey guys. I haven't posted here in ages lol.

So I was given a set of frankinstein coilovers today.
Tein body, Cusco top mount on the front, stock top mount on the rears . With TRD springs.

So my question is has anyone been able to rebuild coilovers themselves without sending them out to tein? I know top mounts are available but it's the seals and oil, and gas maybe that I don't know about. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

There is a video on YouTube where someone rebuilds their teins into a digressive setup for his scca mrs. Based on what I learned about suspension unless you have the budget to correct mistakes while you learn you are likely better off sending them to tein. You can also request custom specs in your rebuild. Feal rebuilds other brands as well so you may also consider giving them a call. Both have offices in California.
