Giving the alltrac better road feel

I haven't read through the 5 pages , but jut in case no one else has mentioned it...

CASTER!!!

Caster has a huge effect on steering & car feel.
I run about 4deg and want more. It along with larger sway bars, stiffer springs, decent tyres and poly bushes has made a huge difference.

I turned my adj strut tops 90deg to get the caster adjustment.
I need coilovers and custom strut tops to get more than the 4deg I have now.

I dialed in more camber with crash bolts.

I swapped & rotated the strut tops on my teins and it totally screwed my kingpin so once I got more than 1.5ish of a way into a turn the wheel would go to full lock and not recenter without me pulling it back

Did you get it wheel aligned after doing the swap & rotate?
Adjusting caster (or camber) throws out your toe settings, so you always need a wheel align after.

What tires size are you running? Any rubbing from that much caster?

225/45/17, and they have plenty of room (on +39 offset wheels though :( ).

Adding caster doesnt effect tyre position when the wheels are straight ahead.
It only only effects position slightly during turning (tyre moves towards the back of the car a fraction).

They are popular because the PS Pump is powered by an electric motor, not the engine.
Besides that, the power steering system is no different to what we have.
