Celica Coilovers

They are usually spray painted (like most coilovers on the market).

But we can do electro painting free of charge. It will resist better against your weather.

I haven't install my kit yet.

Plus you have a 1 year warranty, if something goes wrong, you don't even need to send the old parts back, we will send you new ones.

if this were the case couldnt one just say within the year the coilovers were pooched just to get a new set if we didnt have to send the old ones back?

also most gt four owners dont drive their prizes over the winter.....some do, but that said i drive my gt four maybe 4 months out of a year....so say after 2 years i only have 8 months worth of driving on them....if they were pooched out by then and with no warranty left...id be pretty p-od....paying over 1000 bucks for coilovers......have you had any feedback from long term owners of these say over 1 or 2 years? , not just someone who tried them for a small amount of time and liked them?

It would be the same with a set of Tein.

Warranties on coilovers only covers manufacturer defects. (There are no warranties that cover wear and tears with any brands) Simply because you don't know how people drive their cars.

Since when we started in May 2010, with all the kits we've sold. (most of them were outside ebay). We only had 2 noisy shocks due to people not putting any pre load on the springs. We sent them a free shock anyway. And a few customers are doing gravel rally and regular track events, we've never had any claims.

With coilovers, it will either go bad straight away due to manufacturer defects, or go bad straight away due to wrong installation. When they do it's only one part that go bad or so, not the whole set.

So you think people will try to claim a FULL set under manufacturer defects after 11months of driving in order to get a free set?

We use quality parts, the shocks are valved to your requirements (spring rates, rally/tarmac etc...). And it's the same factory as the cusco and selex coilovers.

I have talked with MXP_57 through ebay and email and with Tein themselves. To have Tein make the exact same, setup using only tein basic dampners, as mxp's would cost you almost 3 times the amount. yes tein is well respected and proven but if mxp is standing behind his product with a warranty its worth the risk to me and I will be buying a set for my 165 in february.

I may still have the emails from tein to prove it.... I think lol

Thanks for the post.

Other coilover makers charge so much for extra camber plates etc...

We've sold over 50 custom kits since last june, ~20 of them were for dedicated track cars. And we only had the following problems:

- one shock arrived leaky
- 2 shocks with default from factory
- one noisy pillow ball
- 2 shocks valved too low for the spring rate
- and a few minor fitment issues when first making a model, now almost all our specs are spot on, if any problem we will modify the drawings and send the right parts straight away.

I keep good communication with customers, you can expect a reply to messages within the hour if not instantly, during daytime of course lol.

And i can say that 98% of the customer have been satisfied with the product and the service.

Here's another video of a custom who bought a set in september. He's been racing a lot since then. He's using stiff springs 16kg front and 14kg rear.

Anyone heard from Cedric recently? I ordered coilovers last month and wanted to follow up on when I would expect delivery but communication has dropped off since the order. I know he stated 20-30 day wait and that time frame is nearing. I know he is most likely busy but with that much money spent I am getting nervous not hearing from him after a few follow up emails.

Thank you guys. He had responded to me late last week that he is working a some redesign for some of the parts. Def eased up any worries about it a little. No tracking info yet but hopefully they won't be held in customs for very long either. Just can't wait to drive my car again after 3yrs. Thanks guys for all the help and advice. Ill keep you guys updated.

don't underestimate customs guys, some of them can be real asshats, i was lucky enough to find someone that was actually helpful the second time. he actually went through the "warehouse" as he called it and found my package, setting it aside for immediate next day shipping, i had it 3 days later. i'm not sure if cedric will ship the same way since it has been a year at least since i ordered mine, but it was some weird shipping company that ended up tracking through usps. i would just email him again, anyone can use another reminder.

what may i ask did you get for spring rates and valving? what are you going to be using it for?

Probably whatever his national postal service is, once it crosses the border it changes over ie when you yanks ship me something with USPS, Canada Post drops it off.
