st165 to gen 7 body sway bar questiongs

So the factory sway bar from the 02 celica won't work and neither will my 88 sway bar. Is there a universal that's more straight and you just kinda pick what you want. How do I go about getting or making a sway bar?

can I just go buy some spring steel 7/8 and make it? Looking for some feedback on this. I've never gotten into this before with the other swaps I've done.

Feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jeremy

A friend of mine made his own rear sway bar for his race Civic, I believe he just used a long straight piece of steel tube.

That's what I'm thinking. But it should be springed steel. There's a little bit of a difference. Leaf springs, coil springs and all those are springed steel. Standard bends and doesn't come back to its original shape. Spring steel does.

I don't know the specifics of the metal he used, I just know there's basically a thick pipe running the width of the car.
