New to all-tracs question about ECU

as you probably notice im very new here i am hopefully very soon purchasing an alltrac and i am already looking at ems.....the main question i have is does anyone know the differences (if there is any) between the caldina (3s-gte) ecu and the celica all-trac (3s-gte) ecu ?! thanks for the help in advance

I dont know the pinouts for the Caldina 3SGTE (ST215), so I can only assume that they are in a different layout than the AllTrac's (ST185).

165/185/205 ecu's have 3 plugs on ecu (not interchangeable without repinning)

st215 has 4 plugs on ecu: http://www.users.on.net/~fivebob/Pages/pins.xml

Besides the obvious pin configuration differences, the Caldina ECU is set up to control coil-on-plug ignition. So although you could use a 3rd gen ECU on a 2nd gen or vise-versa (why I don't know), you cannot use a 4th gen ECU on any other gen 3SGTE.

At least, not without a LOT of modification.

What are you try to do? By that I mean are you planing to swap a st215 into your alltrac in the future?
